Another Dim Sum galore! What’s up with the Dim Sum bug that’s hanging around us lately?
This place is Dim Sum by day, Seafood by night. You won’t be able to miss this bustling place whenever you pass by Jalan Kemajuan 12/28 in Section 13, PJ. This place has been around for ages, and is no longer unfamiliar to many.
Valet parking is provided here no thanks to the limited spaces. RM 5 per car. So be smart and carpool! 😉
Fried Radish Cake with XO Sauce [RM 10]
Fried radish cake was surprisingly good. Fragrant and fried just right with the correct ‘wok fire‘. The XO sauce was rather distinctive, the entire plate of radish cake was gone in a blink of an eye!
Steamed BBQ Chicken Rice Roll [RM 8.50]
One key to good rice rolls. The skin must not be thick, must be served with ample soy sauce, and topped off with fragrant belachan chilli oil. Well unfortunately this combo wasn’t apparent in this dish so it didn’t impress us much sadly. 😦
Deep Fried Durian Puff [RM 8]
The durian was real (a huge criterion to fulfill for us!) and the batter wasn’t too thick. This made for a wonderful treat as the nice and piping hot filling made the gNOMes go yum!
Siew Mai with Fish Roe [RM 10]
Siew Mais here have a combination of chicken and prawn blend and topped with fish roe. It was a pleasant surprise that they tasted rather yums! 🙂
Prawn Dumpling [RM 11]
The Har Gaos weren’t that impressive, but points were given to this dish for the absolutely fresh prawns.
Steamed Scallops Dumpling [RM 12]
This looked great, and didn’t disappoint at all. All the ingredients in this steamed scallops dumpling were all fresh, making this a must try in this place.
Japanese Style Steamed Seafood with Beancurd Dumpling [RM 11]
This dim sum was rather bland, but the seafood used was fresh. It was a rather welcome blandness to an otherwise very colorful meal.
Steamed Pumpkin Bun [RM 9]
This was also one of the better ones. The pumpkin paste inside was golden and sweet, providing a very lotus paste kind of feel. MUST TRY as well!
Baked Mini Egg Tart in Portuguese Style [RM 8]
Loving the mini egg tarts! The crust is crispy, flaky and tasted super creamy. Fragrant but the gNOMes were actually expecting Portuguese Egg Tarts. Nevertheless this didn’t dampen what was a good dish!
Verdict : This is a place to visit if one is searching for halal dim sum. Using a combination of mainly seafood and chicken, this place is sure to cater to our Muslim friends! Although do pick the time well, as this place can get pretty crowded at peak times. This place offers 50% off their Dim Sums from Mondays till Saturdays, and 30% on Sundays. 🙂
