Chinoz On The Park (COTP) be it in Bangsar Shopping Centre (BSC) or Suria KLCC has always been a favourite place for socialite meet ups, or business meetings over lunch. After having the chance to try COTP at Suria KLCC, the gNOMes now hop over to the one at BSC.
COTP at BSC is located at the ground floor facing Jalan Maarof. One can choose to dine in the Al Fresco area, or in the air conditioned section inside.
[Left to Right : Cafe Latte [RM 13.00]; Long Black [RM 9.00]]
Beans for a cuppa of Joe at COTP here at BSC uses Illy Coffee Beans. If you are a big fan of Illy, rejoice! 🙂
Spaghetti Carbonara [RM 38.00]
gNOMe 2 was looking forward to the Pan Fried Salmon on Linguine [RM 42.00] here at the outlet in BSC but unfortunately they don’t have in the menu. So she had to settle with the Carbonara instead. Turkey strips on top of a bed of al dente pasta, white sauce base had the right seasoning, texture and creaminess. Not a bad choice after all!
Moroccan Quarter Chicken [RM 42.00]
When the chicken came, gNOMe 1 was originally a little disappointed, as it was the wing area that was served. But after slicing and taking the first bite, the mood changed. The chicken was juicy and not dry as was originally expected. It was simply seasoned to perfection and the texture just nice. Not forgetting the salsa garnishing which was a complement to the dish.
Parpadelle ‘Mamma Mia’ [RM 34.00]
Broad, flat pasta cooked in traditional pasta sauce topped off with meatballs. This is dish was beautifully seasoned, and had an abundance of tomato meat sauce. The meatballs are homemade, adding brownie points to the already palatable pasta.
Miso Glazed Cod Fillet [RM 68.00]
One of the most expensive main on the menu. This slab of cod is served with mushy peas and oyster clam emulsion. Cod was beautifully pan fried, with a glaze of miso. Albeit a tad steep on the wallet, this dish is worth every penny as the cod was indeed fresh and delectable.
Pumpkin Parmesan Gnocchi [RM 38.00]
One of the gNOMes’ favourite orders from the menu. Pumpkin infused gnocchi with grated parmesan, spinach and portobello in tomato ragu. This whole dish just screams YUMS and the consistency maintained in both outlets is apparent here. A healthy choice of pasta seasoned just right.
Verdict : This place although being a little steep in pricing, has very good food. Definitely a place to dine if one is looking to splurge a little. Their attitude towards all patrons were amazing and one can see that they take every plate seriously. 🙂
