Brewyard Coffee, SS15, Subang Jaya + Voucher Giveaways!

Opening it’s doors to the public just about a year ago, Brewyard is situated at one of Subang Jaya’s most prominent area and is run by a lovely couple, David and his fiancé, Ai Lee.

Brewyard is a quaint little cafe that is perfect for those seeking a little ‘ME’ time indulging in a good read over a cuppa or equally perfect for those planning a one on one catch up session. Sporting a cozy ambiance with soothing music serenading their patrons, Brewyard makes a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the city life.

The tagline of Brewyard spells out COFFEE.FOOD.DESSERT. Patrons will be spoiled with choices of freshly brewed coffee all the way to home cooked food and home made desserts. 🙂

Salted Nutella Latte [RM 13.00]

A local crowd favourite, this cuppa is really what it sets out to be. A Nutella coffee with a nice little hint of salted caramel-ish taste that complements the drink well.

Iced GEM [RM 12.00]

Iced GEM is basically translated into Iced Gula Melaka, Espresso and Milk combined into 1. Although pretty and generally having a nice touch of local tastes, this cup was too sweet for our liking. Perhaps if they had lesser elements of sweetness it would be more balanced. Sweet toothed foodie, get your fix here!

Mocreo [RM 15.00]

Another crowd favourite. This blend of mocha and oreo was pretty decent for an ice-blended combo, with tasty little oreo bits to go. However it was a tad too sweet for the gNOMes as well, although not as sweet as the previous drink.

The Toasty-Four [RM 22.00]

4 slices of toasts topped with different toppings: Lemon Garlic Herbed Chicken, Button Mushroom + Cream, Smoked Salmon + Japanese Cucumber, Peanut Butter Strawberry Jam + Banana.

These were the fantastic four indeed. Every one was good and tasty to the palate 🙂 The lemon garlic herbed chicken had a nice peppery feel, the button mushroom with cream tasted like what one would love to have in their cream of mushroom, the smoked salmon toast was wonderfully refreshing, while the peanut butter toast had all the right ingredients for a hearty toast 🙂

Smoked Salmon Pizza [RM 22.00]

We also managed to sample another crowd favourite, in house smoked salmon pizza topped with seaweed, coral salad and mozarella cheese. A very fresh taste to make even the vege-hater not mind eating up the whole pizza. The only thing that prevented it from being perfect was the bread, which was a little on the soft side for our preference.

The Majesty [RM 19.00]

Wish a generous smattering of prawns and salted eggs, The Majesty stands tall as a very enjoyable dish for the gNOMes. This rather Asian-flavored dish would be a hit with those who love their salted eggs and al dente spaghetti. The Majesty also comes with bits of Chilli Padi, so beware! 😀

Sugar Momma [RM 16.00]

White loaf bread with peanut butter and cinnamon spread, topped with banana and grape slices, maple syrup and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. While this was fairly alright, the cinnamon + peanut butter spread gave it a little unusual flavor. Cinnamon lovers rejoice.

Brownies with Vanilla Ice Cream [RM 13.00]

Home made dark chocolate brownies, served hot and topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. This is a truly delightful dessert. Brownies served hot and made to be eaten immediately, with molten lava in the middle. The only thing that would complete it is to have the ice-cream on top of those brownies.

B.Y Waffle [RM 16.00]

Famous amongst Brewyard’s staunch followers, B.Y waffle consists of a piece of fluffy waffle, topped with home made nutella and oreo ice cream, and accompanied by banana and grape slices. Its fame is indeed well-founded as the gNOMes really enjoyed the fluffy waffles and wonderful batter. With bananas and chocolate? That surely can’t go wrong at all!

Verdict : Overall a good place to have a wide variety of food, suitable for days where one is willing to splurge a little. Come for the good food, stay for the desserts.
