[Product Review] True Lemon – 100% Natural Ingredients

The yellow box of True Lemon sachet arrived at my door step. 100% Natural Ingredients, Crystallized Lemon for Water, Tea & Recipes – it says.

Now, being suckers for anything lemon, this proved to be rather interesting. Who loves freshly squeezed lemonade? Us! Lemon flavoured water? Us! Lemon cheesecake & lemon meringue pie? Us us us! šŸ˜€

A very common household ingredient, lemon can be used both in culinary or non culinary purposes. Not only it gives a tangy note in the usage of culinary, lemon is very much loved as it is a source of Vitamin C and it supposedly aids in losing weight. *ahem

Not wanting to get your hands dirty from squeezing all those lemons to make lemonade? Made in the USA, True Lemon is here to the rescue. Crystallized lemon in sachets to make your life convenient!

To combat the sweltering heat in Malaysia, we have come up with 3 different ways on how you can get your daily dose of lemon drink šŸ™‚

#1. Just good ol’ Lemon Water

Ingredients :

  • 500ml of H2O
  • One packet of True Lemon

For you busy bees, this is the simplest way of getting your daily dose of Vitamin C and to make sure you are hydrated. Simply fill up your bottle with 500ml of water, and pour a sachet of True Lemon in. Mix well, & drink. šŸ™‚

Or feeling bloated after a really good meal? This is the drink for you too! It does really taste like true lemon, doesn’t have an artificial taste. Add in a few ice-cubes and you are good to go!

#2. Honey, I’m Home!

Ingredients :

  • 500ml of H2O
  • One packet of True Lemon
  • A teaspoon of Manuka Honey (or any honey of your choice)

For those of you are not too keen of just plain ol’ lemon water, dissipate the sour note with a teaspoon (or 2, on preference) of honey. Slightly sweet with a zesty note, what’s not to be loved? Do we need to say more about the benefits of honey? Nothing soothes the throat like a warm cup of lemon and honey after a long day.

#3. Soda Brew

Ingredients :

  • A can of chilled 100+ (or any fizzy/soda drink of your choice)
  • One packet of True Lemon
  • Vanilla Ice-Cream (Optional)

Looking for a simple, fizzy twist to your lemon drink? Adding soda (or equivalent) can significantly improve your experience. What’s more, if you have some vanilla ice-cream to spare, it could turn a simple drink into a more ‘sophisticated’ experience. Best served chilled, this is quite the thirst quencher for the hot Malaysian weather. Best of all, it’s really cheap as well!
